Join us for the Via Lux Anomaly!

I’ll be in Budapest with my fellow Enlightened agents to win the Via Lux Anomaly, and I’d love to see you there!

Via Lux? Anomaly? If you don’t know what any of those words mean, you haven’t read my post about Ingress yet. Go take a look, I’ll wait!

Now that you know everything there is to know about Ingress, let’s talk about anomalies.

Anomalies are events organized by Niantic, the company behind Ingress. Each anomaly lasts several weeks, and takes place in many different cities, all over the world.

Each anomaly ties into the main story behind Ingress. At the end of each anomaly series, the winning team (Enlightened or Resistance) influences the direction of the storyline to fit their end goals.

The current anomaly series is named Via Lux. It started in August, and over the past few weekends, each team has been battling at anomaly events in Denver, Wroclaw,… The fight is real: each team scored 7 points so far, and the last anomaly weekend will decide of the anomaly result.

That’s where you come in! Do you play Ingress? Are you an Enlightened agent? Do you live, or can you travel to Budapest, Toronto, Cologne, Granada, St. Louis, Santiago, Setouchi, Mumbai, Singapore, or Macau? Your team needs you! On September 24, we’ll need the help of all our agents to win this anomaly, and ensure our protection against the rebirth of A.D.A., a maleficent A.I.

If you haven’t played Ingress in a while, now is the perfect time to pick your scanner back up! Join us, and come have fun with us!

If you’re not familiar with Ingress anomalies, you’ll discover that they’re quite different from your usual gameplay. You must come ready with a specific gear inventory, and for the 4 hours of the anomaly event, you’ll be giving all you’ve got to help the fellow agents standing next to you. You’ll learn to coordinate your attacks, work together on defense, manage your inventory as a team, all the while making sure you don’t run out of battery ?! ☺  We’ll also be walking quite a bit. It should be fun!

I’ll be in Budapest with my fellow Enlightened agents, and I’d love to see you there!

Remember: the world around is not what it seems.
