No Facebook in April

In March, I set out to move a bit more by exercising a bit every day. In April, I’ll be taking on another challenge: I won’t use Facebook at all.

Exercising every day was a great challenge. Although I missed a few days here and there, I managed to get moving again. Fitstar is mostly a good app, although I struggled with a few things:

  • For some reason Fitstar’s Android app isn’t compatible with my phone. I am not sure why.
  • Even if it were compatible, it appears that the app only handles the Fitness programs. For the Yoga routines you need to install another app, that’s only available on iOS for some reason. I’m hoping they consolidate this in the future, as it was annoying to switch from laptop to my daughter’s iPad every day.
  • The fitness routines focus a lot on cardio. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but not what I was used to.
  • The first few Yoga routines were hard, as I didn’t know the jargon used to describe poses. I had to look at the screen every minute to know what to do. But once I got used to it, it was really nice. I ended up really enjoying Yoga.

I will consequently continue with this new routine. Can’t stop won’t stop! ☺

And for April…

My challenge for April is simple: no Facebook. I’ll keep checking Messenger (via messenger.com), but won’t be checking Facebook at all.

The first few days have been interesting; although I wouldn’t say I am a big Facebook user, I used to check it multiple times during the day. In fact, Facebook is my go-to page if I have a minute to spare between 2 tasks. I’ll load a few groups, and then close it again. It’s going to be a hard habit to break!

I’ll report at the end of the month to let you know how it went. Until then, don’t try to get in touch with me via Facebook! ☺
